& Other Stories

Hace unos meses, paseando por Milán, me llamó la atención que un negocio, en el que solía estar H&M, estuviera cerrado. Al poco tiempo, descubrí en el lugar esta nueva marca: & Other Stories - un lanzamiento, justamente, de H&M para cubrir la brecha de mercado entre sus propuestas originarias y otro de sus emprendimientos - COS - de precios más elevados.  & Other Stories no sólo ofrece una línea de prendas femeninas, zapatos, bolsos y demás accesorios, sino que también productos de belleza, todo para crear nuestro propio estilo, nuestra historia. 

Esta nueva marca ya está presente en Londres, París, Berlín, Estocolmo, Copenhague y Barcelona (además de Milán), pero también se puede acceder a sus productos desde su página web - www.stories.com (envíos en los siguientes países:  Bélgica, Dinamarca, España, Finlandia, Francia, Alemania, Italia, Reino Unido, Holanda y Suecia). 

A continuación, algunas fotos paseando por la tienda de Milán y otras publicadas por la empresa para conocer algo más de sus propuestas.

Some months ago, walking in Milan, my attention was caught by a closed H&M store. Some days later,  I discovered a new brand: & Other Stories - the new H&M proposal to fill the gap between its original low cost products and COS - another of its brands with higher prices. & Other Stories offers us - women - a wide range of clothing items, shoes, bags, accessories and beauty products to create our personal style, or story. 

This brand has shops in London, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Barcelona (plus the one in Milan), but you can buy its products online too - www.stories.com (delivery available in Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Sweden).

Focus

¡Hola! El post de hoy, tal como su título lo adelanta, tiene la intención de centrar la atención en un item y ver cómo lo presenta un diseñador, una marca. En este caso, elegí la camisa y la compañía estadounidense J.Crew. No hace mucho tiempo tuve la oportunidad de conocer uno de sus locales y, entre todos los productos de excelente calidad y muy buen diseño, sus camisas despertaron un especial interés en mí (aunque, si hago memoria, también me gustaron los sweaters, los pantalones, los zapatos... Y podría continuar...).  Tal vez fue por sus colores, sus estampados, las telas... En fin, a continuación algunas fotos. A ustedes, ¿qué les parecen?

PD: Otra cosa que también me gusta de sus propuestas es la forma en la que las presentan; una forma poco convencional, desenfadada, mezclando colores, texturas y estampados... ¡Un item clásico como este puede tener muchas caras! Mejor dejo de escribir y vamos a las fotos :).

Hi! Today's post has the intention of focusing the attention on a clothing item and the way a designer, a brand presents it. In this case, I've chosen the shirt and the US company J.Crew. I had the opportunity to visit one of its shops and, among all the high quality and great design products, the t-shirts caught a special attention (hmmm, maybe sweaters, pants, shoes and so on did it too...). The fabrics, the prints and the colors are awesome (in my opinion); anyway, here are some pictures... What do you think?

PS: Another thing I enjoy is the way they mix and present the different items; an unconventional way,  casual, mixing textures, colors, prints... It is great to see how a classic item like this can have so many different faces.  Stop writing, the photos below! 

Shades

¡Hola! Volví a Polyvore (para quien no conoce la página, se trata de una herramienta que nos permite crear nuestros propios looks con infinidad de artículos y luego compartirlos... Aquí encontrarán previos posts donde la utilicé); se me ocurrió armar conjuntos dentro la misma gama de color: uno en azul, uno en rojo y otro en amarillo (los colores primarios). Si bien soy de combinar 2 o 3 colores al momento de vestirme, me gustaría intentar aplicar esta tendencia, ¿qué les parece?

Hi! Again Polyvore page (if you don't know it, it is a tool that allows us to create our looks - using a lot of fashion items - and then, share them... Here you will find previous posts where I used it). I had the idea of creating outfits using only a shade of color: one blue, one red and one yellow (primary colors). I tend to combine 2 o 3 shades for my outfits, but I would like to try this trend... What do you think?

Green Verona

¡Nuevamente en Verona! Hoy el protagonista es el Santuario Madonna di Lourdes desde donde se pueden disfrutar de muy lindas vistas panorámicas de la ciudad.  Llegar a la cima de la colina en la que se encuentra implica algo de esfuerzo (más si no se está en estado - ¡como es mi caso! - y hace calor como ese día), pero es gratamente recompensado :).

Verona again! Today the attraction is the church Santuario Madonna di Lourdes from where you can enjoy beautiful views of the city. This church - previously it was an Austrian fort - is on the top of a hill...  Reaching it may require a little effort (even more if you are not in form - as I am! - and it is a warm day), but worth it :).
