Hippie?

Haciendo orden en mi armario, volví a encontrar una prenda que no recordaba: Una blusa floja, estampada… Al verla, pensé en agregarle un abrigo de lana gruesa, un collar, pulseras y armar un conjunto algo “hippie”. Tal vez, el tipo de jeans, los zapatos y la cartera no contribuyan al estilo, pero me gustó la idea de ver cómo resultaba la mezcla. ¿Qué les parece?

Making order in my closet, I found – again - a clothing item that I had forgotten  (I love when it happens!): A loose and printed blouse… Seeing it, I thought  of setting a “hippie” outfit by adding  a thick wool cardigan, a necklace and several bracelets. Perhaps the type of jeans, shoes and bag doesn’t contribute to the style, but I liked the idea of ​​mixing  and see what comes of it. What do you think?

Movie Afternoon

Hoy fuimos al cine a ver "Antes de la medianoche", película que cierra la trilogía romántica que comenzó en 1994 con "Antes del amanecer" (la segunda se llamó "Antes del atardecer" y fue estrenada 10 años después). Si les gusta este tipo de películas, ¡seguro las conocen!  Ethan Hawke y Julie Delpy nos muestran, de una forma muy particular, cómo va evolucionando su relación a través de los años... Podría seguir escribiendo y escribiendo sobre el tema pero va a ser aburrido, así que mejor les muestro las fotos que sacamos en el cine y sus alrededores con una camiseta que me pareció justa para la ocasión.

Today we went to the movies to see "Before Midnight", film that closes the romantic trilogy that began in 1994 with "Before Sunrise" (the second was called "Before Sunset" and was released 10 years later). If you like this kind of movie, I'm sure you know them! Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy show us, in a very particular way, how their relationship evolves through the years... I could go on writing and writing about it but it will be boring, so I better show you the pictures we took in the movie theater and around it with a t-shirt that, I think, is"the one" for the occasion.

Work Out!

¡Hola,  buenos días! 

"Work out" además de "hacer ejercicio" significa "resolver", motivo por el cual me pareció un buen título para las fotos que les muestro hoy: Además de estar "haciendo ejercicio"(*) en la mayoría de ellas, anteriormente, tuve que resolver cómo adaptar un conjunto de media estación a un día frío que llegó de repente (le agregué un tapado bastante abrigado).

(*) De casualidad encontré algunos aparatos para hacer ejercicio mientras caminaba por Puerto Madero - uno de mis barrios preferidos de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Me parece una muy buena iniciativa para incentivar "el movimiento" en personas que le escapan al gimnasio (¡como es mi caso!).

I worked out how to adapt a mid-season outfit to a winter one thanks a thick coat (the cold has arrived without previous noticed!) and I worked out thanks to those fitness equipments I found by chance... So "work out" seemed the right title for this post.

Happy Friday! Nothing better for a Friday than go for bolder prints than usual - in this case the big fuchsia polka dots are perfects in my opinion - and comfortable clothing items.

Maxi Fun!

Mini-montañitas (es una forma de decir, son pequeñas “ondulaciones” que encontré en una plaza muy original), “maxi-diversión” (aprovechando la coincidencia con el maxi-cardigan que elegí ese día): Pasamos una muy linda tarde subiendo y bajando por esas ondulaciones, viendo el entorno desde otro punto de vista (¡uno más alto!)  y sentándonos en el césped para disfrutar del sol.

Red + Blue + Mustard

¡Buenos días! Hace muchos años compré este blazer de jean y aún hoy no me canso de usarlo.  Me parece la combinación perfecta entre un corte formal y todo lo informal que puede aportar el jean.  A él le añadí algunas otras prendas básicas - de los colores que más disfruto usar - y armé este look simple pero muy colorido.

Good morning! I bought this denim blazer many years ago, but I don’t get tired of wearing it. I think it is the best combination of a formal cut and the casual look that brings denim.  Thanks to the blazer and some other basic items, a simple outfit but colorful was created.

¡Hola, buenos días! A pesar de que estamos en junio, muy cerquita del invierno, por aquí parece primavera. Al salir temprano de casa, me abrigué con una campera - cazadora de jean y un cardigan liviano… Pero con el correr de las horas,  como verán en las fotos,  sólo la camisa me bastó (sin dudas es la protagonista del look gracias a su estampado donde predominan simpáticas mamushkas).

Hello, good morning! Although the Winter is just around the corner,  the wheather seems like the one we have during Spring. When I left home yesterday morning, it was a little bit chilly, so I chose a jean jacket and light cardigan… But later, as you will see in the photos, only the shirt was enough (without any doubt it is the star of the look thanks to its nice Mamushkas print).

Siendo ya jueves (¡falta poco para el fin de semana!) me pareció una buena alternativa quitarle algo de "seriedad" al pantalón negro con un buzo/sudadera cortita color crema (lamentablemente, en las fotos no se aprecia muy bien el color).   ¿Ya se están preparando para el fin de semana? ¿Eligen algún tipo de conjunto en particular?

Already Thursday (we are close to the weekend!), so it seemed a good alternative to take out some of the black pants "seriousness"with a cropped cream sweatshirt (unfortunately the cream color is not very well appreciated in the pictures).
